A Message from Chelsea’s Owner, Dave Remmetter

Hey Guys,

First I would to thank you for attending the hearing Tuesday April 28th and all of the support you have shown through Facebook, www.ilovechelseas.com, Cherry’s email list and word of mouth. People have been asking me what they can do to help. What would help Chelsea’s the most right now would be for you to get in touch with your State Senator and State Representative to express your support for Chelsea’s Cafe and a helpful bill. You can easily find out who your State Rep. and State Senator is by going to www.legis.state.la.us , click on legislators at the top right of the page, then type in your address in the appropriate section and the list will come up. You can either email, write or call your elected officials to express concerns. However, calling would be the best.

Also, on that same website, you can scroll down the home page halfway and read a bill that we are trying to pass to ease up the restrictions on restaurants. The bill is SB136. Please call your legislators to express your support for this bill, if you see fit.

Thanks again for all your support, you do not know what that means to me. I love what I do because of the people that work for me and the people that support this business. When we moved from campus to Perkins Rd., I did not know what to expect, but it has been great. I did not know what to expect in court on April 28th, but I was flattered by the turnout. Even after our liquor license was pulled, we had a great day at Chelsea’s because so many of you came in anyway. I am truly lucky and grateful for my friends and staff and the people I haven’t met yet, for all of your support. I don’t even know what to say, but I have a great feeling from this that you all have given to me. How lucky can one man be?

Sincerely,

David Remmetter
